The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is a vital water source with global significance. Its glaciers, rivers, and wetlands provide fresh water to millions in northern Colombia, supporting agriculture, drinking water, and energy needs. The rivers flow into the Caribbean Sea, impacting marine life and contributing to ocean currents that help regulate the Earth’s climate. This means that the health of the Sierra’s water systems influences weather patterns and climate stability around the world.

The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta Mountains, also known as The Heart of the World, is safeguarded by an alliance of four indigenous communities; led by the Arhuaco People. They have been working to reclaim the surrounding land that has been stolen and abused for the last 500 years. The Arhuacos have faced centuries of displacement, beginning with colonization, which brought profound upheaval and disruption to their traditional way of life. The arrival of colonizers led to the forceful appropriation of their land, the imposition of foreign laws, and the suppression of their culture and spiritual practices. Despite these challenges, the Arhuacos have persevered and maintained their cultural identity and deep connection to the land.Ni’Kuma, the governing body of the Arhuaco Tribe and the guiding authority of the other three tribes (Wiwa, Kogui, Kankuamo) is determined to restore and protect these sacred lands, ensuring that their heritage and tradions continue to thrive.

Elder Brother: Guardians of the Heart of the WorldIn the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, known as *The Heart of the World, the **Elder Brothers—the Arhuaco, Kogui, Wiwa, and Kankuamo—have safeguarded the planet’s spiritual and ecological balance for millennia. They hold the sacred responsibility of maintaining harmony between nature and humanity, ensuring the continuity of life according to the Law of Origin, an ancestral knowledge system that governs all natural and energetic forces. The Mamos, spiritual leaders of the Elder Brothers, dedicate their lives to studying and activating their energy bodies to perceive and interact with the Earth’s natural systems—just as modern civilization interacts with artificial systems. They walk the sacred landscapes, reading nature, balancing energies, and maintaining the connection between the material and the immaterial realms. Their wisdom has been recognized as the Immaterial Patrimony of Humanity—our timeless inheritance as humans on Planet Earth.According to their teachings, Elder Brother was placed in The Heart of the World to protect and nurture the planet until the day when Younger Brother—civilized humans—would awaken to claim their inheritance and take responsibility for the Earth. They have patiently awaited this moment, offering their guidance to those ready to listen and restore balance to the world.Sun Nation stands in alliance with the Elder Brothers, honoring their wisdom and supporting their sacred mission to protect and regenerate the land for future generations.
Mamo is a term used by the Arhuacos and other indigenous groups in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta to refer to their spiritual leaders. The Mamos are revered figures who hold profound wisdom and knowledge, playing a crucial role in the cultural and spiritual life of their communities. They are the highest authorities of each village and act as the guiding compass for the collective. Mamos are considered the guardians of the traditional laws, and spiritual teachings of the Universe. The practice of these teachings is housed under the term, Universal Law.Mamos are responsible for maintaining harmony and balance between the natural world and human activities. They conduct spiritual ceremonies, offer guidance, and make important decisions that affect the community. Their work often involves mediating between the spiritual and physical realms, ensuring that the laws of nature and the cosmos are respected and followed. The position of a Mamo is not inherited but earned through years of rigorous spiritual training and learning. They are chosen at a very young age as a special pupil and train their entire life to attune to the subtleties of Natural and Universal Law. Mamos are seen as intermediaries who communicate with ancestral spirits and the divine to protect and nurture the vital energy of the world.

The supreme authority and governing body of the Arhuaco People, Ni’kuma, is the formal body of Mamos and the spiritual container to which they all belong.Ni’kuma is a Mamo word which relates to the “highest of possibilities of positivity”; those that belong to this group are guided by the integrity and profundity of the word Ni’kuma. The name has been chosen as a safeguard and guide for all of those involved; making it impossible to choose any actions which do not conform to the highest good. As embodiments of this creed; each representative fully operates in certitude of positivity. For these reasons, and many more, Ni’kuma is in charge of guiding each tribe. Currently, with the political division and corrupting forces that have invaded the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta; Ni’kuma is being held together by the Arhuaco Tribe while attempting to reunite the 2 tribes that remain in the Original Peoples Alliance. As an action towards unified protection; Ni’kuma has created an “Indigenous Entity” named Green Nation, The Life of Humanity.

Nabusimake, often regarded as a spiritual capital and the Capital of Peace, is the stronghold of the leading tribe of the Alliance of the Four Original Peoples.
Located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains, within Nabusimake, a temple exists which safeguards “The Heart” of The Heart of The World. This sacred temple serves as a binding bridge between the immaterial and material realms, anchoring spiritual blueprints into our physical world, representing the core essence of existence. The highest spiritual authority, the Supreme Mamo, dedicates his life to embodying and protecting the sacredness of this temple. However, the sanctity of this sacred site was nearly obliterated when Catholic monks
invaded in 1916; driving the Arhuaco elders to the brink of extinction. These intruders established orphanages and schools, dismantled traditional food systems, and forced the Mamos into hiding. They retreated to distant caves, with Arhuaco women, in an effort to preserve the tribe’s wisdom and continuity.Through resilience and with aid from Colombian media outlets, the Arhuacos eventually reclaimed Nabusimake in 1982, evicting the church, and from there began a recovery process that has spanned across the last fifty years.Despite their perseverance, the Arhuacos are currently contending with persistent threats from mining corporations, corrupt government actions, rampant deforestation, polluting industries, and illegal incursions onto their reservation.
Guarding Nabusimake, an epitome of spiritual and cultural heritage, is of paramount
importance—it stands as one of the most vital sites on Earth, demanding our utmost
dedication to its protection.** NOT A TOURIST DESTINATION OR OPEN TO VISITORS **

Sacred Sites within the Black Line of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta are considered vital components of the region’s spiritual and energetic network. These sites hold profound significance for the indigenous peoples, particularly the Arhuacos, who believe that these locations serve as conduits for universal energy. This energy is essential for maintaining the balance and harmony of the planetary energy grid.Sacred sites can consist of a variety of natural elements, including large stones, rivers, springs, sacred trees, energy vortices, and hills. Each of these sites acts as a node within the broader energy network, allowing for the flow and distribution of spiritual energy across the Earth. These nodes are not merely physical locations but are believed to house intangible or energetic entities that fulfill specific functional roles. The Mamos, or spiritual leaders, regularly visit these sacred sites to perform ceremonies and rituals aimed at balancing and maintaining the energy flow. Their activities help to stabilize the energy field and ensure that the spiritual health of the region and the planet is preserved. Each sacred site has a unique function, contributing to the overall energy network in distinct ways. For example, certain sites may be dedicated to the purification of water, while others may focus on the stabilization of land energies or the protection of specific plant and animal species. The Mamos’ efforts at these sacred sites are crucial for the proper functioning of these energetic nodes, which in turn support the entire planetary energy grid. By maintaining these sacred sites, the indigenous peoples help to sustain the interconnected web of life, safeguarding the spiritual equilibrium of the world.

The Black Line is a concept rooted in the spiritual beliefs of the indigenous peoples of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. It is described as an intangible energetic barrier that encircles the Sierra Nevada, serving as a form of protection and a boundary that delineates the sacred territory of the indigenous communities. According to their traditions, the Black Line acts as an inter-dimensional portal or quantum gate, connecting the physical realm with higher spiritual dimensions. The Black Line is considered crucial for maintaining the spiritual health and well-being of the region. It not only safeguards the land and its inhabitants but also ensures the balance and harmony between the natural world, the ancestors, and the cosmos. The indigenous people believe that this energetic boundary helps to preserve the sanctity of the “Heart of the World,” a concept referring to the Sierra Nevada as a vital center of the Earth.Ceremonies and rituals are conducted along the Black Line to recharge and stabilize its energy. These practices are led by the Mamos, the spiritual leaders, who possess the knowledge and wisdom required to interact with this powerful force. There are many sacred sites along the Black Line, which act as nodes for the energy to pass through; creating a network with each site having a specific function. The Black Line underscores the interconnectedness of all life, reinforcing the indigenous worldview that the Earth, sky, and all living beings are intrinsically linked through a web of spiritual energy.

Green Nation is the first “Indigenous Entity” created by Ni’kuma. It acts as a “corporation” which has been given certain powers by Ni’kuma. The first purpose of Green Nation, The Life of Humanity is to protect sacred sites within the Black Line. Everything within the Black Line is considered The Heart of The World and was originally designated as indigenous land, governed by the Four Original Peoples. For many years now, The Black Line has not been respected, nor has the original Reserve that it created. For this reason, Ni’kuma has authorized Green Nation to exist with the same powers that Colombia has given to the 4 Tribes in Decree 1500. Green Nation will use these powers to usher in harmony, protection, and balance within The Black Line.Green Nation has been co-developed between Ni’kuma and Sun Nation in order to
strategically realign the Heart of The World.
